Come join us as Ryan McGraw teaches on
The meaning and use of baptism in order to grow in faith and love to the Triune God and to His people.
Why is Baptism important? Is it necessary for salvation? Is it merely a badge by which we pledge our allegiance to the Triune God? Is it merely a sign of God’s work in saving us, or is it something more? Does it have any significance for day-to-day Christian living?
Whatever else we say about baptism, we must recognize that it tells us about the Father who saves us through his Son and by his Spirit. While baptism is not the gospel, baptism is a litmus test of how we understand the gospel. For this reason, the New Testament treats baptism as relevant to every stage of the Christian life because the gospel is relevant to every stage of the Christian life.
In this conference, Pastor McGraw seeks to help us understand how and why baptism promotes godliness in faith and life. He will do this by starting with Christ’s baptism, moving through Christian baptism and its use in the Book of Acts, through the application of baptism for particular believers and for the church as a whole. He hopes to show that while baptism makes a poor savior, baptism is a great means to direct us to the Savior.
Join us to study the meaning and use of baptism in order to grow in faith and love to the Triune God and to his people.
